Volunteers and civic groups work throughout the year to present this Christmas gift to Central Texas. During the full first weekend in December, there is only one place to be... at SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS in San Marcos, Texas!

Shimmering with thousands of twinkling lights, the banks of the San Marcos River are the setting for this annual Yuletide event. There are fun things to do for the entire family...great gifts to purchase...the night air filled with music...and the scents of mouthwatering holiday goodies.

COME HUNGRY and treat your taste buds at the Food Court. This is one of the most eagerly anticipated and talked about feasts of the year. There is something for everyone, from big juicy burgers to freshly made tacos, from classic sausage-on-a-stick to melt-in-your-mouth funnel cake. You will also find plenty of water and soft drinks for sale.

Three evenings of Hill Country holiday fun include twirling under a towering tree of layered lights, whirling on a classic carousel, choirs of angels on stage, a visit to historic Bethlehem, sock-skating, and lights, lights, lights everywhere!

Sugarplum Theatre offers continous entertainment for the lil' ones in the family.

Learn how to cook campfire biscuits and enjoy a few of them with butter and honey. Delicious!

Watch Sahawe Indian Dancers and other thrilling dance and musical performances. Pet a camel at Night in Old Bethlehem and ride the Sights & Sounds Express train.

Of course, no holiday celebration would be complete without a visit with Old St. Nick himself! Children of all ages are invited to Santa's River House to whisper their Christmas wishes in Santa's ear.
